Thankful

When I first joined Melaleuca in late December, I was on seven different medications. Three for high blood pressure, two for high cholesterol, one for type 2 diabetes, and one for acid reflux. I was also taking 81mg aspirin for my heart, potassium supplements to help suppress leg and foot cramping (a side effect of the diuretics) and 3 fish oil tablets a day. That's just the prescriptions and what my doctor told me to take, which didn't include my multi-vitamin and calcium tablets.

Anyway, all the prescriptions were really getting to me. I felt like I was a slave to them. I couldn't go anywhere without taking along my personal pharmacy. God forbid I get stranded somewhere
overnight due a blizzard or something. But the biggest thing was, every single drug on the market has side effects, without exception. Some are worse than the symptom they are supposed to be treating. Drugs aren't even designed to cure, only to suppress symptoms. I felt lousy. My energy was gone, my enthusiasm waned, I felt trapped.

I started taking the Daily for Life pack the first part of January. I was curious; hopeful but curious. That was five months ago. Time for a blood test and a check up with the mad prescription writer. Well! I couldn't believe it! My LDL cholesterol level was 110 (it had been over 200, and I had been taking medication for cholesterol for years without it hardly coming down at all), hemoglobin good, blood pressure 132/80. (At one point, my blood pressure had been twice
normal...240/160! the nurse almost had a heart attack herself!). And I lost 2 pounds to boot! He only rewrote THREE prescriptions! Down to 2 for my blood pressure, and one for the diabetes.

I copied a description page for each of the products in the Daily for Life pack and the page where it gives how many of each is included in each days' packets and gave them to my doctor. He was actually familiar with Melaleuca (his daughter takes it). He said that as far as he knew, they were one of the better products out there. He put the info packet in my folder, and told me to keep up the good work.

I salute Melaleuca for helping to make me feel human again. As I told my doctor, I feel better than I have in years!

Thank you Melaleuca.
